2012


"2012" - Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. Over the decades, many have prophesized that the world will end when the ancient calendar ceases on Dec. 21, 2012. The Roland Emmerich movie "2012" is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors. "2012" revolves a family who goes on vacation in December "2012," just as the Mayan calendar is coming to a close. The movie "2012" was originally scheduled for a July 10, 2009 theatrical release.

And, no, the movie "2012" is not the third movie in the movie franchise that began with "2001" and ended with "2010."

"Dragonball Evolution" - The movie "Dragonball" is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin (best known for his role as Tom Cruise's son in the Steven Spielberg movie "The War Of The Worlds") stars as the hero Goku, while James Marsters plays the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

Nick teams up with Cassie Holmes (Dakota Fanning), a thirteen-year-old girl who can see the future, to track down a missing girl and a stolen suitcase that could potentionally bring the downfall of Division — the key to their mutual revenge. Combining their skills, they outwit assassins and learn about Division's latest secret weapon — a powerful and new experimental drug called R16, which could shift the tides of psychic warfare. The movie "Push" was filmed on location in Hong Kong. "Push" is a Summit Entertainment theatrical release.

"Street Fighter" - In 1994, Jean Claude Van Damme's "Street Fighter" grabbed $100 million at the movie box office, worldwide. (Today, that would translate to about $140,000,000).

The new big screen version of "Street Fighter" - "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" - is also based on the "Street Fighter" series of video games. It follows the quest of Street Fighter character Chun-Li, who is portrayed by Smallville star Kristin Kreuk. The film costars Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega. Rick Yune was originally cast as Gen but was been replaced by Robin Shou, who portrayed Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat series.
